Atty.
Atty. means attorney: a lawyer, or a person given power to act for someone else.
Atty. is the usual short form of attorney in court and land records. Most often it marks a lawyer, as in Atty. for plaintiff.
An attorney could also be an ordinary person acting under a power of attorney, a written authority to act for someone else in a legal matter. So in a deed, Atty. may name someone signing for the owner rather than a lawyer.
