Disd.
Disd. or disc. in a military roster means discharged, released from service before the unit was mustered out.
Rosters shorten discharged to disd. or Disc. A reason often follows, and disab. or dis. for disability is the most common, as in disd. for disab.
A discharge for disability is worth chasing, because the disability may also turn up in the soldier's service and pension files. Do not confuse disd. with destd., deserted.
As seen in a recordCompany roster in a state adjutant general's report
Disd. for disab. Feb. 10, '63
