Re-en.
Re-en. or re-e. in a military roster means re-enlisted: the soldier signed up for another term of service.
Roster keys shorten re-enlisted in different ways: Re-en. in the Windham County list and re-e. in the Nebraska Civil War roster. The Kansas Adjutant General's report writes Re-enlisted Veteran in full for many men of one company.
In the Kansas report, Re-enlisted Veteran stands where other men have a discharge or muster-out date, so the soldier's service went on past his first term. Follow his later service before you decide when he left the army.
