Twelfth Night
Twelfth Night is the last night of the twelve days of Christmas, on January 5 or 6, the eve of the Epiphany.
Twelfth Night ends the twelve days of Christmas and leads into the Epiphany. Some traditions keep it on the evening of January 5, others on January 6.
Older records and letters sometimes use it as a date reference. If a letter says after Twelfth Night, read it as the first days of January, not mid winter in general.
