Hodge
Hodge is an old pet form of Roger, so look for the same person under Roger as well.
Hodge comes from a medieval pet form of Roger, with H taking the place of R. Charlotte Yonge notes that Hodge became a byword for a country laborer in England.
The same man can be Roger in one record and Hodge in the next, for example a birth under one name and a marriage under the other. Match age, place and relatives before you join the two.
As seen in a recordEnglish parish burial register, 1598; his will names him Roger
Hodge Goodspeed, husbandman, buried 3 March 1598
