Daily AncestorMallie
Mallie stood for Malvina in many American records of the 1700s and 1800s.
Mallie is a short form of Malvina. Nickname lists made for 18th and 19th century research, such as the one from the Connecticut State Library, pair Mallie with Malvina.
Do not take Mallie and Malvina for two different people too quickly. Compare ages, places and the names of relatives to confirm that both names belong to one woman.
As seen in a record1900 census; her marriage license a few years later gives Malvina
Mallie Wadsworth, Daughter, May 1879, 21, S, Ala.
