Ollie

Ollie was a nickname for Oliver in American records of the 1700s and 1800s.

Ollie is a pet form of Oliver. The Connecticut State Library's list of nicknames used in the 18th and 19th centuries gives Ollie as a short form of Oliver.

In a search, try both names. An index may list him only as Ollie, while his baptism or marriage record gives Oliver.

As seen in a record1880 census; his 1931 death certificate gives Oliver
Ollie Kettleby, Son, 14, Works on farm
