Tiah
Tiah was a nickname for Azariah in American records of the 1700s and 1800s.
Tiah is a short form of Azariah, an Old Testament name. The Connecticut State Library's list of nicknames used in the 18th and 19th centuries gives Tiah as a short form of Azariah.
In a search, try both names. An index may list him only as Tiah, while his baptism or marriage record gives Azariah.
As seen in a recordChurch burial register, 1829; his gravestone reads Azariah
Tiah Osgood, aged 84, buried July 23, 1829
