Molder
A molder made sand molds into which molten iron or brass was poured to cast stoves, machine parts and other objects.
Foundry molders packed sand around a pattern, removed it, and poured molten metal into the hollow. Stove works, machine shops and railroad shops employed many molders.
The British spelling is moulder. Iron molder is a common census entry in industrial cities. The pattern maker made the shapes the molder used.
As seen in a recordOccupation column of the 1880 to 1920 census
