ELIZABETH ANNA
DAUGHTER OF
WILLIAM AND ELIZABETH
RICHISON
WIFE AND RELICT OF
LEWIS SHEE
BORN AUG. 15. 1812.
What does "relict of Lewis Shee" tell you?
Correct
Not quite
A relict is the one left behind: a widow (or, more rarely, a widower). So Lewis Shee died before Elizabeth Anna, which gives you a clue for when to look for his death. The stone also hands you her maiden name, Richison, and both of her parents.
