Easter
Easter is the moveable spring feast of the Resurrection, on the first Sunday after the first full moon on or after the spring equinox.
Easter falls on a different Sunday each year, set by the rule of the first Sunday after the first full moon on or after the spring equinox. Lent, Palm Sunday, Ascension Day, Whitsun and Trinity Sunday are all counted from it.
Old records often date events by the church year, such as the Monday after Easter. To convert, find Easter for that year in a table, and remember that the Julian and Gregorian calendars give different Easter dates.
