7ber

7ber means September in old records, using the number 7 for Sept; 8ber is October, 9ber November and 10ber December.

Writers saved space by replacing the number part of a month name with a numeral: 7ber for September, 8ber for October, 9ber for November and 10ber for December. The names come from the Latin numbers seven to ten, because those were the seventh to tenth months of the old Roman year.

Do not read 7ber as July. It is always September, even in records from after 1752.
