Advent
Advent is the church season of preparation before Christmas, beginning on the fourth Sunday before Christmas.
Advent begins on the fourth Sunday before Christmas, called Advent Sunday, and opens the church year in Western Christianity. Its name comes from the Latin adventus, coming.
