Knights of Pythias emblem
An inverted triangle with F, C and B on a gravestone is the Knights of Pythias emblem: Friendship, Charity and Benevolence.
The Knights of Pythias was founded in Washington, D.C., in 1864. Its emblem on stones is a triangle pointing down, divided into red, yellow and blue sections with the letters F, C and B, for the order's principles of Friendship, Charity and Benevolence.
The emblem means membership, which points to lodge records. In some states the order also ran homes for members' families, such as the Pythian Widows and Orphans Home that the Texas order has kept near Weatherford since 1909.
