Hank

Hank was a nickname for Henry in American records of the 1700s and 1800s.

Hank is a short form of Henry. The Connecticut State Library's list of nicknames used in the 18th and 19th centuries gives Hank as a short form of Henry.

In a search, try both names. An index may list him only as Hank, while his baptism or marriage record gives Henry.

As seen in a record1900 census; his 1911 death certificate gives Henry
Hank Tolliver, Head, M, 48, Day laborer
