Brushmaker
A brushmaker made brushes, fixing bristles, wire or other fibers into a wooden handle or block.
Wiktionary defines a brushmaker simply as a person who makes brushes. A brush is a handle or block with bristles, wire or other filaments set into it, and the materials are chosen to stand up to the brush's use, such as heat, chemicals or wear.
Brushes are made for cleaning, grooming hair, painting, surface finishing and many other purposes, so the trade covered a wide range of goods.
