Deliveryman

A deliveryman carried goods from a store or business to customers' homes, on foot, by wagon or by truck.

Wiktionary defines a deliveryman as someone employed to make deliveries.

The 1930 census instructions give "Deliveryman, Grocery store" as a model entry, and the 1940 instructions repeat it as "Deliveryman, Retail grocery store". The industry column tells you what kind of business he drove or walked for.
