Saddler
A saddler was a craftsman who made and repaired saddles, bridles and other leather gear for horses.
Before cars, nearly every town needed a saddler. He cut, stitched and stuffed leather saddles and also made bridles, collars and other riding equipment.
The trade overlaps heavily with harness making, and many men were listed as saddler and harness maker. A saddler's shop was a natural customer of the local tanner and currier.
