Half-brother
A half-brother shares only one parent with you; half-sister is the female form. Old records say of the half blood.
A half-brother (or half-sister) has one parent in common with you, not both. Lawyers described them as of the half blood, and full siblings as of the whole blood.
Court records about heirs may say which children were of the whole blood and which of the half blood, which tells you who came from which marriage.
