Na
Na in the citizenship column of the 1900 to 1920 census means the foreign-born person was a naturalized citizen.
In the 1900, 1910 and 1920 censuses, enumerators wrote Na in the citizenship column for a person born abroad who had become a full citizen by second or final papers. The 1910 and 1920 instructions add children naturalized through a parent while under 21. The 1920 instructions spell it NA.
Na tells you naturalization papers should exist, usually in a court near where the person lived, and the census year of immigration helps narrow the search.
