Treas.
Treas. means treasurer, the officer who keeps the money of a company, county or society; it was an approved 1900 census abbreviation.
Treas. for treasurer is the last of the twenty abbreviations allowed in the occupation column of the 1900 census. It is usually followed by the body he served, as in Treas., county or Treas., bank.
The same short form appears in city directories. A man named as Treas. of a company was one of its officers, not a clerk, so the line tells you something about his standing as well as his work.
