Rodent ulcer
Rodent ulcer was the old name for a slow-growing skin cancer, usually on the face, now called basal-cell carcinoma.
Wikipedia lists rodent ulcer as another name for basal-cell carcinoma, the most common type of skin cancer, which grows slowly.
The 1911 Census Bureau manual indexes rodent ulcer under cancer of the skin, so a death from it counted as a cancer death.
As seen in a recordCause of death line, state death certificate, 1910s to 1930s
Cause: Rodent ulcer of face. Contributory: Senility.
