die
Die (from dies) is Latin for "on the day": die 5 Maii means "on the 5th day of May."
Die is a form of dies, day. Latin dates usually read die followed by the number and the month in a Latin form: die 12 Octobris, on October 12.
Months are also given in Latin forms such as Januarii, Februarii, Martii, Aprilis, Maii, Junii and Julii. Watch the numbered months: Septembris, Octobris, Novembris and Decembris are September to December, not the seventh to tenth months of a modern year.
