vinitor

Vinitor is Latin for a vinedresser, a man who tended and pruned vines in a vineyard.

Vinitor comes from vinum, wine. Lewis and Short and Wiktionary define it as a vinedresser, one who works in a vineyard. The feminine is vinitrix.

You find it in wine country registers as the father's or groom's trade. It says nothing about whether the man owned the vineyard; land or tax records can tell you that.
