Administratrix is the feminine form of administrator. A widow was frequently appointed administratrix of her husband's estate when he left no will.
Watch for a later entry where she appears under a new surname. Remarriage during the settlement is common, and the court record may then name her new husband alongside her.
As seen in a recordCounty probate court record, 1800s
