Fellmonger
A fellmonger dealt in animal hides and skins, especially sheepskins, and often prepared them for tanning.
The name joins Old English fell, a skin, with monger, a dealer. Fellmongers belonged to guilds with rules on the quality of skins, workmanship, apprentices and trading rights.
Wiktionary marks the word as British and also gives a verb sense, to prepare animal skin for tanning. The skins then went to the tanner and currier to be made into leather.
