Lorimer
A lorimer made the metal parts of a horse's bridle and harness, such as bits, buckles and spurs.
The word goes back through French lormier to Latin lorum, a leather thong or rein. A lorimer made the bits and other metal parts of a horse's bridle and similar small metal pieces.
The London guild of the trade, the Worshipful Company of Loriners, has ordinances dating from 1261, older than those of any other surviving livery company. The word is marked obsolete in dictionaries and is met mainly in early English records.
