kyrkoherde
A kyrkoherde was the vicar: the senior priest in charge of a Swedish parish or group of parishes, who kept or oversaw the church books.
The kyrkoherde led a pastorat, made up of one or more parishes, and was responsible for keeping its church books, from household rolls to moving certificates.
When a record says kyrkoherden, it means the parish's own vicar. A change of kyrkoherde often shows as a change in handwriting and detail.
As seen in a recordSignature on a Swedish moving certificate, 1860s
