Daily Ancestorförsamling
Församling is Swedish for a parish or congregation; after the 1860s it became the usual word for the church parish that kept the records.
Församling means an assembly or congregation and, in records, a parish of the Church of Sweden. When civil affairs were split off from the socken in the 1860s, the church side came to be called församling, so later records and archive catalogs use that word.
City parishes are församlingar too, such as a domkyrkoförsamling (cathedral parish). In archive catalogs, a parish's records are listed under its församling name.
