flyttningsattest
A flyttningsattest was a moving certificate: the paper a person took from the old parish to the new one when moving within Sweden.
When someone moved, the pastor of the old parish issued a certificate for the person and noted it in the moving register. The person handed it in at the new parish, whose pastor recorded the arrival. The certificates are also called flyttningsbetyg.
The moving registers were, in effect, a diary of certificates issued and received. A household roll note such as attest n:r 14 refers to the certificate's number in that register.
