Swedish words in old records · card I

inflyttad

Inflyttad means "moved in"; Swedish household rolls and moving-in registers record when a person arrived in the parish and where from.

Inflyttad, or infl., is the partner of utflyttad. The household roll notes the date and the parish the person came from, and the moving-in register (inflyttningslängd) lists arrivals in order. From 1860 these registers had to give name, status, occupation and where the person came from.

The entry tells you which parish to search next, backward in time. A family that moved often can be followed parish by parish this way.
