Quarterly meeting
A quarterly meeting was a Quaker business meeting held four times a year by representatives of the monthly meetings in a region.
The quarterly meeting stood between the monthly and the yearly meeting. It heard appeals in discipline cases, dealt with problems too large for one monthly meeting, and could set up or lay down monthly and preparative meetings.
Its minutes rarely hold births or marriages, but they record when a monthly meeting was founded or divided, which tells you where to look for a family's records.
