Sabbath
In Christian records the Sabbath usually means Sunday, the Lord's Day; in Jewish usage it means Saturday.
For most American Protestants of the past, the Sabbath meant Sunday, also called the Lord's Day. In Jewish usage the Sabbath is Saturday.
When a diary or church record says a child was baptized on the Sabbath, check which group wrote it before converting the day into a date.
