Weinmonat

Weinmonat is an old German name for October, the month of the grape harvest.

Wein means wine, and October was when the grapes were picked and pressed. Duden lists Weinmonat as an outdated name for October. Old German documents can use it in place of Oktober.

Records of the same period also write October as 8ber or 8bris, from the Latin numbering of the months. All three mean the same month.
