copulati
Copulati (sunt) is Latin for "they were joined" or "they were married," the standard opening of a marriage entry.
Copulati is the plural form of copulatus, joined. A marriage entry often opens with copulati sunt (they were married) followed by the groom, the bride and the witnesses.
The entry may also give the parents of the couple, their home parishes and whether either was a widow or widower.
