copulavit
Copulavit is Latin for he joined in marriage, used of the priest who married the couple; copulavi means I married them.
Copulavit comes from copulare, to join or couple. In marriage registers it describes the priest's act: he joined the couple in marriage. The first person copulavi means the writer did it himself.
Do not read copulavit as the name of the groom's act. The groom's side is usually copulatus est or duxit uxorem. The name beside copulavit is the officiating priest, not a witness.
