uxorem duxit
Uxorem duxit is Latin for he took as his wife, that is, he married; it is said of the groom.
Uxorem duxit literally means he led a wife, an old Roman way of saying a man married. It is said of the groom, with the bride's name in the accusative case, often ending in -am.
The bride's name may look odd for that reason: Annam, Mariam. Her name in the dictionary form is Anna or Maria. The phrase is one of the stock phrases of marriage entries.
As seen in a recordLatin marriage register, 1810s
Josephus Klein duxit uxorem Mariam, filiam Georgii Lang
