testes
Testes is Latin for "witnesses," the people named as present at a marriage or other event (singular testis).
Testes is the plural of testis, a witness. In marriage entries the witnesses usually come last, as in testes Petrus Miller et Georgius Fox.
Witnesses at a marriage were often brothers, fathers or close friends of the couple. Follow them up, because they may lead you to relatives you have not yet found.
As seen in a recordWitness line of a Latin marriage entry
Testes: Petrus Miller et Georgius Fox
