parentes

Parentes is Latin for parents, a heading in baptism and marriage registers above the names of mother and father.

Parentes means parents. Printed or ruled register books often have a column headed parentes, giving the father's and mother's names, the father's occupation and the mother's maiden name.

The phrase parentes spirituales means godparents, not natural parents, so read the whole phrase before copying names.
