septimana
Septimana is Latin for a week, from septimus (seventh); hebdomada means the same, and both appear in the ages of infants, as in trium septimanarum, three weeks old.
Septimana is a late Latin word for week, built on septimus, seventh. Hebdomada, from Greek, also means a week or a group of seven.
In burial registers babies' ages are often given in weeks, days or months instead of years: infans trium septimanarum means a three-week-old infant. Read the unit carefully, since an age of 3 can mean three weeks, three months or three years.
As seen in a recordLatin burial register, age of an infant, 1790s
Sepultus est infans Joannes, aetatis trium septimanarum
