vesper

Vesper is Latin for evening; vespere or vesperi means in the evening.

Vesper means evening, and it also gives the name of vespers, the evening prayer. Wiktionary adds supper and, by extension, the evening star and the west.

In registers you usually see the ablative vespere or vesperi with an hour: hora septima vespere, at seven in the evening. Mane is the matching word for morning.
