nocte
Nocte is Latin for at night or by night; with an hour, it dates a birth or death to the night.
Nocte is the ablative of nox, night, used as an adverb: at night. Noctu is an older form with the same meaning; the BYU glossary lists them together.
Entries give it with an hour, such as hora decima nocte, at ten at night. For a birth late at night, check that you have the right day.
As seen in a recordLatin baptism register, Austria, 1820s
Nata hora undecima nocte, baptizata die sequenti
