Conveyance
A conveyance is any transfer of an interest in land or property from one person to another, and also the document, usually a deed, that does it.
Conveyance means passing a property right from one person to another. The word is used both for the act of transfer and for the written instrument, most often a deed. Lawyers who drew up deeds were called conveyancers.
In indexes, a list of conveyances may include deeds, mortgages, leases and releases. Read each one: a mortgage or release is not a sale.
