lipiec
Lipiec is Polish for July; in a written date it appears as lipca, "of July," as in dnia czwartego lipca, on July 4.
Lipiec is July, named from lipa, the linden tree. In dates it takes the genitive form lipca: dnia czwartego lipca, on the fourth of July. The -ie- of lipiec disappears in lipca.
Lipca can be confused with czerwca, June, because both end in -ca, and with listopada or lutego when only the first letter is clear. Read the whole word before you settle on a month. The Roman numeral for July is VII.
