Grandniece
A grandniece, also called a great-niece, is the granddaughter of your brother or sister: the daughter of your nephew or niece.
Grandniece and great-niece name the same relative: a sibling's granddaughter. Her own great-aunt or great-uncle is the matching relationship in the other direction.
A census relationship column lists her by her link to the head, so if the head is her great-aunt or great-uncle, the enumerator may have written simply niece.
As seen in a recordRelationship column of the 1900 census (a grandniece of the head, recorded as niece)
