nattvard
Nattvard is Swedish for Holy Communion; household rolls note when each adult took communion, often in a column headed nattvard.
The pastor kept track of each person's communion in the household examination roll, year by year, along with the examinations in reading and catechism. Nattvardsgång, abbreviated nattv.g., means going to communion.
The column is useful evidence: a person with communion marks was living in the parish at that time and had been confirmed. When the marks stop, look for a death or a move.
