vigd
Vigd means "wed": married in a church ceremony. Vigsel is the wedding itself, recorded in the parish marriage book.
Vigd is the past participle of viga, to wed or consecrate. Swedish marriage books list the banns (lysning) and then the date the couple were vigda, with their names and usually ages or birth dates and home farms.
Gift describes being married; vigd marks the ceremony itself, and vigsel is the wedding. A note gift with a date in a household roll points you to the marriage book for that year.
