domus

Domus is Latin for house or home, and also for a household; domi means at home and in domo means in the house.

Domus means house or dwelling, and also the household living in it. Its forms are irregular: domi means at home, domo from home or in the house.

Where a register gives the house a family lived in, note it: it can separate two families of the same surname. A child baptized domi was baptized at home rather than in church.
