gravida
Gravida is Latin for a pregnant woman; it is the feminine of gravidus, pregnant.
Gravida is medieval Latin for a pregnant woman. It is also the feminine form of the adjective gravidus, pregnant, from gravis, heavy.
In a burial entry gravida tells you the woman died while expecting a child. The baby will have no baptism of its own, so the note may be the only record of that pregnancy.
