ludimagister
Ludimagister, also written ludi magister, is Latin for a schoolmaster or village teacher.
Ludimagister joins ludus (school) and magister (master), so it means schoolmaster. Cicero already used it, written as two words, ludi magister.
If one man called ludimagister appears as witness or godparent in entry after entry, he was likely serving the parish rather than his own relatives. Do not read those entries as family ties without other proof.
